The microbrew trend runs deep in Central Texas and Marble Falls is a prime spot to savor the local hops. It is a community endeavor and the local flavor is evident from the tasting events to the loyalty clubs, every brewery has its own special flair that keeps the hops fresh.
Bear King Brewing Company
The newest addition to the community is Bear King Brewing Company. Recently named one of the Top 10 best new breweries in the Texas Craft Beer Report, it is the undertaking of siblings with a passion for brewing beer. The brews on tap range from Wandering Blonde, an easy-drinking and refreshing beer to Bird’s Word, a roasted pecan porter with an almost smoky character. While enjoying a spot on the patio, enjoy the Webster’s Dilemma pale ale that features strong grapefruit, lime and orange characteristics
Double Horn Brewing Company
Double Horn pays tribute to the city of Double Horn that roots itself deep into Texas history. Brewed on-site the menu features IPAs, Pale Ales, Porters and Ambers that keep regulars coming back for more. Start with the Tarrytown All Natural Blonde that delivers a refreshingly crisp flavor and cap off the day with a Lake LBJ IPA for a tropical finish. Recent renovations unveiled an inviting brewery with an open concept that facilitates more seats at the bar along with a larger dining room and inviting patio, so sit back and stay awhile.
Save the World Brewing Company
Save the World Brewing Company delivers on its lofty namesake and donates 100% of profits to charity. Featuring Belgium-style ales, the Coconut Milk Lux is an award-winning place to start that is aged on toasted coconut with a hint of sweetness. The Agnus Dei is a witbier ale that pleases the pickiest of palates, particularly good over lively conversation. To date, the brewery has donated over $100,000. The on-site brewing accents the tasting room, with a behind the scenes glimpse into the brewery. Sign up for a tour or just enjoy a glass or two with some complimentary popcorn. There are board games inside and a playscape outside, so gather with family, friends, and pets to drink beer and save the world.
