It’s been a long, hot summer, and we are counting the days until fall shows up here in Marble Falls! The weather gets cooler, and the parks get prettier as the leaves start changing colors. With fall comes more unique and curated home décor with a splash of a pumpkin spice scent. We begin to gravitate toward holiday-themed drinks and treats and indoor activities. 1. Sweet Berry Farm

Sweet Berry Farm is an all-season favorite! Every fall, Sweet Berry has pumpkin patches, Texas-sized mazes, and rows of beautiful flowers waiting to be picked! Sweet Berry's Harvest of Fall Fun lasts until the first weekend of November, and there are many things you and your posse can choose to partake in! Whether you are finding the perfect pumpkin for carving or stuffing a scarecrow, Sweet Berry Farm is the ideal place to spend your fall in Marble Falls!

2. Shop in our Downtown District

One of the best parts about fall is getting to shop for home decor and new fall clothes! Marble Falls has some unique shops in our Historic Downtown District! If you want to spruce up your living space, check out ReDid, Pam's Pearl Home, or Birdies for some finely curated home decor options! If you want a new wardrobe, we recommend Trendy B Boutique, Lula's on Main, or Smartie Pantz! Of course, these aren't the only shops to look at! Make sure to pop into each store in our Downtown District to find anything you may need!

3. Enjoy Fall Brews 

Your fall trip wouldn't be complete without trying seasonal brews from local breweries! All three of our Marble Falls breweries - Save the World Brewing Co.,  Double Horn Brewing Co., and Bear King Brewing  - release seasonal brews every year! Grabbing a pint with your closest friends is best enjoyed with limited edition brews and perfect patio temperatures. 4. Tasting at Perissos Vineyard and Winery

A picture-perfect day spent tasting wines from local wineries? Yes, please! One winery that gives perfect fall vibes is Perissos. When visiting Perissos, you will experience a tasting that lives up to the vineyard's tagline of "Exceeding abundantly. Beyond what is expected, imagined, or hoped for."

5. Rent a Canoe or Kayak

Even though the weather is cooling off in the Texas Hill Country, that doesn't mean water activities have to stop! Fall is the perfect time to experience the thrill of riding through the great outdoors.

7. Play at Westside Park Disc Golf Course

Okay, this one may sound like an odd choice for a fall activity, but stay with us. Westside Park in Marble Falls has one of the best disc golf courses in Central Texas. The creekside disc golf park showcases riveting 18-holes designed by fellow golfers to satisfy every disc golf enthusiast. A few rounds of disc golf are the perfect way to enjoy the crisp autumn air and leaves changing colors.

8. Go for a Scenic Fall Drive

Grab a sandwich from Darci’s Deli and take a scenic drive through Inks Lake State Park to Highway 29. This impeccable hill country drive starts in Marble Falls and winds past granite outcroppings and spectacular views of Inks Lake before reaching the grand finale at Backbone Mountain LBJ Memorial Scenic Overlook, also known as “Lookout Mountain.” Take Ranch-to-Market Rd 2342 from Ranch Road 1431, then veer to Park Road 4W into Inks Lake State Park. Park Road 4W winds all the way back to 29 for an easy return.

9. Walk Around with a Glass of Wine

Located in Old Oak Square,  Fiesta Winery's tasting room is the perfect spot for you and your friends to grab a glass of wine. Maybe you do a tasting before you shop, or you choose to grab a glass of wine and walk through Downtown. However you choose to enjoy your wine, Fiesta Winery and Old Oak Square is the perfect place to spend a fall day in Marble Falls.

10. Hike Underground at Longhorn Cavern State Park

The popular Cavern Walking Tour descends 130’ below the surface along an ancient underground riverbed path to discover a plethora of geologic wonders. The 1.1-mile tour highlights include Crystal City, Queen’s Throne & Watchdog, Underground Ballroom, Moon Room, Hall of Marble, Gallery of Formations, Hall of Diamonds, and the Ranger’s Entrance. The tour takes 90-minutes. Online ticketing is available for your convenience.

Prefer to hike above ground? There is the classic 1-mile loop that is well-maintained and appropriate for all skill levels. This trail is also dog-friendly, so bring the pup on a leash.
