As the county seat of Burnet County, the City of Burnet has many historical landmarks. The current Burnet County Courthouse was completed as part of President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Works Progress Administration initiative in 1937. One unique thing about the Burnet County Courthouse is that its exterior is made of the same pink granite that was used to build the Texas State Capitol Building! If you are interested in the history of Burnet County, the Courthouse is a must-see. |
