There are plenty of things to explore in the Texas Hill Country for everyone, and it is even more fun when you bring someone with you! For couples that are retired or about to retire, Marble Falls is the perfect getaway. This itinerary is tailored for a weekend in Marble Falls, Friday evening through Tuesday morning.

After dinner, head over to Double Horn Brewing Company for a nice craft beer.
Start your Saturday off with an authentic Marble Falls breakfast. Since 1929, the world-famous Blue Bonnet Cafe has been the place to see your neighbor or friends, catch up on what is happening around town, or stop by when you're just passing through. Blue Bonnet Cafe has something for everyone, from traditional breakfast to pot roast. You may even want to snag a piece of their famous pie for later!
The Downtown District of Marble Falls is full of art galleries to peruse. We recommend the galleries below located along historic Main Street to get you started.

Stop by Darci's Deli for lunch. Darci’s Deli offers sandwiches, an all-you-can-eat salad bar, homemade soup, baked goods, and more.
Make sure you take Park Road 4 on your way out to Inks Lake to see all the beautiful wildflowers along the road.
Explore the beautiful landscape of Inks Lake State Park! With easy walking trails and stunning stops to look at wildlife, Inks Lake State Park is the perfect way to explore the outdoors.
When you get back to Marble Falls, eat dinner at a local favorite, River City Grille. The patio overlooks the beautiful lake, so make sure to get a seat outside. After dinner, be sure to try their famous carrot cake.

Start the day with a coffee from Numinous Coffee Roasters. an artisan cafe in the heart of the town.
Stop by the Visitor's Center and pick up the Historic Homes Tour brochure that contains information on the self-lead home tour.
After the tour, head downtown to do some shopping! Your first stop is ReDid, a vintage boutique with indoor and outdoor treasures and eclectic finds.
Next up is Pam's, for vintage home decor and accessories like no other.
Your last stop is Blue Suede for specialty shoe designs and exquisite jewelry collections.
Grab lunch at Rae's Bar & Grill, or as the locals call it, Rae's RBar! There is no way you can go wrong with dishes like their Spicy Mac & Cheese Burger or their famous Trail Boss Chicken Fried Steak. And top your meal off with a classic cocktail or delicious handmade milkshake!
Head over to Sweet Berry Farm to pick vine-ripened strawberries and enjoy the sunny day.
Next up is Perissos, home of wines made with 100% Texas-grown fruit.
The last stop of the day is Jardin Corona, an authentic Mexican food restaurant. End your day with chips and queso, delicious enchiladas, and a nice cold margarita.
Fuel up for another day with a big breakfast burrito at Chuspy's, a great Marble Falls destination for Mexican cuisine.
Follow your meal with a trip to Mojo, and grab a coffee to go.
Hike through Balcones Canyonlands and enjoy the beautiful views along the way. The Balcones Canyonlands is a National Wildlife Refuge with dozens of species of wildlife that you can view during your visit.
It's lunchtime! Head to Opie's Barbecue, a unique barbecue restaurant in Spicewood, TX.
Exploring Marble Falls is fun, but take a moment to watch the Solar Eclipse! Marble Falls is in the Eclipse's direct path of totality. But, make sure you catch it! Totality will only occur from 1:34 p.m. to 1:39 p.m.

On your way back to Marble Falls, stop by Dead Man's Hole, a historic marker dating back to the American Civil War.
Take a short stroll through Lakeside Park and enjoy views of Lake Marble Falls.

Fuel up for the day with a cup of coffee at The Ragtime Oriole. The historic 100-year-old building has been renovated to feature a coffee shop, a performance stage, decor, and music that will transport you back to a pre-“Post Modern” era.
